Wishlist Wednesday – Books

I haven’t done one of these in awhile, mainly because once I want something, I’ve just been going out and buying it. ::insert angel emoji::

A few things I’ve really been wanting though are some cute coffee table books (even though I don’t have space on my coffee table for them). I’m having a hard time deciding which ones I actually want, though. I actually LIKE reading coffee table books. They are always interesting, easy to flip through for a quick mind break, and typically  visually stimulating and inspiring.

These are the ones that I can’t decide between:

  • Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual – $12.40 @ Amazon (This wouldn’t actually go on my coffee table but on the bookshelf in my office, next to my other makeup books)
  • Chanel: Fashion/ Fine Jewellery/ Perfume (Set of 3 Books) – $56.49 @ Amazon
  • Chanel: The Vocabulary of Style – $63.05 @ Amazon
  • Vogue and The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute: Parties, Exhibitions, People – $39.99 @ Amazon
  • Styled: Secrets for Arranging Rooms, from Tabletops to Bookshelves – $21.82 @ Amazon
  • National Geographic: Destinations of a Lifetime: 225 of the World’s Most Amazing Places – $25.00 @ Amazon
  • The Dogist: Photographic Encounters with 1,000 Dogs – $17.11 @ Amazon
  • The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss – $20.30 @ Amazon
  • Batman: A Celebration of 75 Years – $28.88 @ Amazon (You think this is for my husband… it is not. I LOVE Batman)
  • DC Comics: A Visual History – $31.63 @ Amazon
  • Marvel Comics: 75 Years of Cover Art – $31.02 @ Amazon

Btw if you are looking for beauty books, I already own these and definitely recommend them:

  • Kevyn Aucoin: Making Faces – $15.33 @ Amazon (This is a great book for beginners. I actually need to replace mine. My brother spilled oil on mine.)
  • Kevyn Aucoin: Face Foward – $16.99 @ Amazon (This my actual favorite EVER)
  • The New Beauty Secrets: Your Ultimate Guide to a Flawless Face by Laura Mercier – $24.23 @ Amazon (This is also another great book for beginners)

The other is I’ve been trying to find good cookbooks for easy, healthy, recipes for two. I love cooking, but my kitchen as a terrible layout. I have no counter space and no room to add an island. I’ve been wanting to try some paleo recipes, but I can’t actually go completely paleo due to food allergies. Here are some cookbooks that look promising:

  • Dinner for Two: Easy and Innovative Recipes for One, Two, or a Few – $15.59 @ Amazon
  • The Paleo Slow Cooker Cookbook: 40 Easy To Prepare Paleo Recipes For Your Slow Cooker – $7.19 @ Amazon
  • Paleo Cookbook: 300 Delicious Paleo Diet Recipes – $10.89 @ Amazon

Aaaanndd just because I feel like I need it: Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Vol. 1 by Julia Child – $27.27 @ Amazon

    1. I haven’t actually looked at that one yet, but I’ll let you know as soon as I actually get it! I hear its great, though. It was really recommended when I was at makeup school.
